2. Research shows that vitamin deficiency is associated with inflammation in IBD patients
According to the latest research findings, insufficient vitamin D levels in patients with inflammatory bowel disease can increase the risk of inflammation and disease recurrence, and may lead to complications such as osteoporosis and calcium deficiency due to its impact on the development of inflammation and IBD. Researchers suggest that understanding how vitamin D regulates the inflammatory response in IBD patients can help develop more targeted interventions. Although this study revealed a correlation between vitamin D levels and inflammation in IBD patients, further research is needed to clarify its exact mechanism and causal relationship. 3. Oregon State University research team conducts genome sequencing work on chia seeds
A research team from Oregon State University conducted genome sequencing on Chia seeds and identified their close association with improving nutritional value and enhancing other characteristics, which could play an important role in the treatment of diseases ranging from cancer to hypertension. This study provides more details at the molecular level and the potential of genetic data in human health applications. During the research, researchers successfully identified 29 genes involved in the biosynthesis of polyunsaturated fatty acids and 93 genes that gave Chia seed gel characteristics. In addition, 2707 genes were found to be highly expressed in seeds, which may produce small peptides with biological activity. According to the researchers, these small peptides are released during digestion and absorbed by the human body, which has the potential to alleviate Class II diabetes, hypertension and other diseases. 4. Ubiqusome CoQ10 Phytosome can promote the absorption of CoQ10 by skin and muscle cells
Indena has launched the plant capsule formula ingredient Ubiqusome CoQ10 Phytosome, which is presented in the form of a plant carrier for lecithin preparations and formulated using the company's independently developed Multi Talented Technology Platform. A recent two-week crossover trial showed that the ingredient can increase the absorption of coenzyme Q10 by skin and muscle cells. In the study, 8 volunteers were randomly assigned to take 100 milligrams of coenzyme Q10 in crystalline or plant carrier form daily. The results showed that the plasma bioavailability of the two formulations was comparable in vivo, but in vitro, the bioavailability of lipoproteins rich in plant capsule form CoQ10 was higher in human dermal fibroblasts and mouse skeletal muscle mother cells than in crystalline form lipoproteins. This indicates that plant capsule carriers have significant advantages in delivering CoQ10 to skin and muscle tissues.
